Imperial Calendar

To facilitate communication and commerce, the The Alliance of the Throne worked out a common calendar.

Structure

Each week has 12 days. Each of the ten months have three weeks. There are four festivals that fall outside of the regular months, which brings the total days per year up to 364.   The months are named for heroes who fought in the War of the Duchies: Jenda, Dou’far, Nake, Termil, Bonzion, Eyla, Ewmok, )Unger, Eoumad, and Jerna.   The days of the week are named for The Twelve : Onsden, Byrsden, Nesdal, Polsden, Dorsden, Morsden, Valsden, Eldal, Lazhdal, Navdu, Raedal, and Urdal.   As a general rule, the individual days of the month are not numbered. If someone had an appointment, it would be said to be at noon on the second Nesdal of Bonzion, for example.

Festivals

There are four recognized festival days spaced throughout the year, three of which honor the three groups of the Twelve. The Feast of the Guardians falls between Nake and Termil. The Feast of the Four is between Bonzion and Eyla. The Feast of the Family is between Unger and Eoumad. The Feast of the Mists is between Jerna and the new year beginning in Jenda.
