Cinder Lake

Geography

A messy edged volcanic crater lake that sort of looks like a mushroom from overhead, with an island in the center. Deceptively calm and idyllic on the surface, this lake is really, really deep, and dark, and cold, once you reach the points the sun doesn't hit. Ringed by a temperate mixed forest. Freezes over for about two months during the winter. Dwarven ruins at the bottom. Very pretty.
