Holy Roman Empire
As of the year 1600 AD, the Holy Roman Empire is subdivided into ten Imperial Circles ("Reichskreis") for administrative purposes, which are then subdivided further into different territories and fiefdoms. There are also a number of territories that are not part of the of the Imperial Circles.
Currently, the Imperial Circles are:
- Austrian Circle
- Bavarian Circle
- Burgundian Circle
- Electoral Rhenish Circle
- Franconian Circle
- Lower Rhenish–Westphalian Circle
- Lower Saxon Circle
- Swabian Circle
- Upper Rhenish Circle
- Upper Saxon Circle
