Tebuke (Tae-buke)

Tebuke is a region on the western half of Hestrover and has a small coast line. It borders Oakamere, Arake, Srohull, and Yolsull.
As with most regions in Hestrover, the region is named for its capital city, Tebuke. Other cities in this region are Direglen and Direrun. Inside the region of Tebuke lies a large mountain that was home to a dragon at one point in history. The historical records state that the Red dragon that lived there was killed in 104 by Alfred III. Occasionally, people will see smoke curling up from the peak, but most have surmized its a weather pattern consistant with the warmer climate in Hestrover meeting the colder climate of the peak. While Direglen benefits from trade with the regions of Oakamere and Arake, Direrun does not. Set off from the coast, Direrun lives in the shadow of the mountain. Their main exports are crops and lumber.
Tebuke has roughly 2000 residents. While most of the province is poor and agrarian, Tebuke City is made up of many districts. The Noble's District is quite large. The rule of Tebuke Province is currently Garett Yelnats, and he has a castle in the city. He often holds grand parties for the nobles who then support him onetarily in his ruling of the province. The Merchant's district has many shops, including a Fighters Guild and Mages Guild. For the discerning shopper, one may even find a few shops selling more than what could be called "regular goods".
Due to its proximity to the coast, the residents of Tebuke primarily worship Cieren, the goddess of the waters. As well, there are two wharfs, a north wharf and a west wharf. Apart from the Nobel's District and Merchant's district, there is also an Artisan's District, a Military District, and two commoner districts.
