The White Gate
Stretching high above the skyline as easily the tallest point in Manu Das is The White Gate. The Great Gate of Atlantis and Black Gate of Mars may be sisters, but the White Gate is very much like them. The gate that originally brought the Priests to Venus has long since been lost and is thought to be destroyed, leaving no way to get off of the planet. That was of course until the God-king of tongues arrived. Through centuries of work, Ra was able to build the White Gate, a proud monument to both his ego and will.
Unlike the Great Gate and Black Gate, which seemed to be linked to one another, the White Gate can supposedly link to any other Atlantean gate still standing, as few as there may be. Unfortunately, unless you know the location of the gate you are connecting to, you will be unable to do so.
The White Gate itself is several hundreds of feet tall and wide enough to march a small army through, which in fact may be the entire point. It appears to be made of a carved, brilliant white stone which doesn’t tarnish or erode with rain or wind. Atlantean script is carved into the gate upon every surface. Each letter itself is no larger than a hand, leading to thousands upon thousands of these engravings to cover the gate. Atop the gate is a looming figure, a bust with the face of Ra. He looks no different than he did when he ruled Atlantis proper, rather than how he appears today. The only difference between his old self and this visage is that the eyes have been replaced with two large crystals that can simultaneously power the gate and watch over the city.
The gate has only been used once in recent memory, in an attack upon Atlantis. After whatever they were looking to acquire was in their possession, they closed the gate again. The fact that this gate has been functional and yet has been used brings questions as to what exactly Ra’s plans are and when the next time the gate may be used.
