S4-BOR/SABOR

Captain of the Gyro-Raiders

The bandits over the Bridge Badlands have been an issue for decades, but over the last few years, something has changed. Where as before the attacks were random, unorganized, and more brute force than anything else, now they are much more precise. They attack quickly and proficiently. They are not infallible, but they are much more proficient. Many of the gyro-bandit gangs are beginning to align with the architect of this success. While initially many weren’t comfortable following the leadership of a machine, they have come to see the benefits.

History

The Series 4 Battleground Operations Receiver was in development at Nilar Das when the city fell. It was the latest and greatest development of their real time battle operations platforms. At that time, they were already under regular attacks by bandits, and even worse, Ra’s forces. As a result, they developed mobile platforms that could traverse the battlefield to analyze and report data in real time. However, before they could utilize their newest breakthrough they could turn the tide of battle, the city broke down and the residents fled in a panic. And so, the Series 4 Battleground Operations Receiver, otherwise known as SABOR, laid dormant for many years.   Many years later, bandits were scavenging the city when they came across the lab. When the lab was powered up, they made the discover of the lifetime. The most advanced gyro-cycle of all time AND it was alive. They originally wanted to sell SABOR at the Grand Bazaar, but as they were leaving they were surrounded by a much larger gyro-cycle gang. By analyzing the situation, SABOR was able to concoct a plan with a 92% chance of success. A bargain was struck with the bandits, if they succeeded, they would free SABOR. Despite their numbers disadvantage, they were able to escape and take many of their enemies out along the way. From that point on, the bandits realized that whatever this Gyro-cycle had to offer, it was far more valuable than whatever they could get for it in Cherut Das.   As time grew, their ranks swelled. Dozens upon dozens of raiders swore allegiance to SABOR, who continued to work towards their own elusive goals, all while making the bandits more money than they had ever made before. As of current, they control over half of the bandit raids on or around the Viaduct. As of right now, they seem to be shoring up for a large scale job.

Appearance

SABOR looks like a standard Gyro-cycle, although a bulkier version of it. With two completely spherical wheels, handles, a seat, and a large front panel, they could be easily confused with a standard bike. This is of course until they begin to speak. When speaking they often project a holographic image above their front panel that resembles a cloud with a singular eye.   While their standard body is a matte gray, they do have several other “bodies” they can sleeve themselves into. They do this by driving into larger shells to fit their purpose. When doing this, they integrate their main systems into this larger body, giving them full control of it. This could functionally change their main body from Into whatever form suits their purpose. They design and construct these shells themselves and have them for a variety of purposes.   In addition to their standard gyro-cycle frame they have a larger frame for hauling weights, a reinforced version of their standard frame or combat, and even an experimental aircraft frame. The two most impressive however are the full combat frame, which closely resembles Atlantean tank design and the other, more fearsome design. By far their largest design, SABOR can link themselves into what is functionally a small moving fortress. While nowhere near as large as Fort Isran, while in this mode, SABOR can carry entire crews of bandits. They are capable of both land based and aquatic movement and even have functional cannons. While in this mode, they can even broadcast their holographic image on a larger scale on top of the deck, letting everyone around them see the regularly unseen Captain.

Personality

SABOR isn’t cold, but they are not particularly passionate. While a machine, they are not without personality. They can be inquisitive and more often than not will ask “why” when encountered something for the first time. They seem to view leading their “crew” as a means to an end rather than a goal in itself. They can be bargained with if something catches their inquisitory eye. They are just as likely to send bandits out to collect machine parts of money as they are to have them collect books or art.
