Fort Isran

Fort Isran is an Atlantean Walking city that has had fortifications built on the perimeter, it is not known whether these fortifications were a part of the original design, or if they were added after the initial construction. It has been occupied by the Morningstar Brigade since their founding, during which time time it has served as the headquarters of the organization.   Fort Isran is much smaller than a typical walking city, roughly a fifth the size of Erras Das by area, and with significantly reduced population density. It has facilities to comfortably support a stable population of around 2,500, including a set of two warehouse sized buildings that function similarly to The Biosphere, several company sized Barracks', and fully stocked engineering workshops.

The Spire

At the center of the Fort is a twelve story tower emerging out of a large walled redoubt. Much of the Brigades headquarters offices are located within the redoubt, and General Dethross himself lives in the upper levels of the tower.

Demographics

Headquarters

The Fort's only permanent population consists of the 500 members of the Morningstar Brigade's Headquarters Company. Which includes the staff officers, an artillery platoon that maintains defensive artillery emplacements at the fort, and an engineering platoon which maintains the Fort's walking mechanisms.

Garrison

One of the four Regular Infantry Battalions of the Morningstar Bridage is stationed at Fort Isran on a regular rotation. The primary missions of Battalions garrisoned at the Fort are defense of the fort itself, and engaging in training exercises to prepare for their next rotation. During a garrison period is when challenges for position are most common, particularly challenges for higher officer positions.

Training

Roughly a third of the Fort's population at a given moment are new recruits to the Morningstar Brigade undergoing basic training. Trainees are stationed at the Fort for a grueling two to three month training period. The training classes have a roughly 40-60% pass rate, and after graduating the trainees are sent to fill the rosters of whichever Battalion is at garrison at the time. There is a regular flow of groups of hopeful recruits arriving at Fort Isran to show that they have what it takes to be in the Morningstar Brigade.
