Saluthian

Saluthians are a recurring humanistic race from Heroic Ties.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Saluthians are a race of beings that are able to change their physical shape at will into a slimy liquid. This gives them more mobility and magical properties. This race is derived from the Island of Saluth off of the coast of Isteria in the Western Isles.
Like most humans, Saluthians look identical in a normal form. Their true forms, however are seen as transparent viscous liquids that can morph shape at will. By default, Saluthians are blue and have bodies similar to that of a thicker water substance.

However, there have been different liquid colors that have different properties. In this case the Red Slime is more acidic and looks like a transparent blood. This is the case when a Saluthian and a Nightwalker give birth. Such as the case with Xanna Blacke.

Other colors are bound to be found with different properties, however none have been seen.

Genetics and Reproduction

Saluthians are only given birth by another Saluthian mother. A male who is a Saluthian cannot have children unless he is with a female Saluthian. However, a female Saluthian can mate with other species and the genetics are passed on, but the offspring cannot retain a physical form until 2 or 3 years of age.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Saluthians have the power to maneuver their body however they see fit, even splitting. Their strong, viscous slime can catch others into a strong grapple that has a rebounding effect. They also have the power that once ingested through any means, they are able to mind control what ingested them temporarily. They can see the minds of those that they mind control and act as one. This can cause delusions of what really happened to them however and cause dizziness.
