Brythunia

Compared to other nations in the Dreaming West, Brythunia is young. The nation is broken into four major territories, though they may more accurately be called kingdoms. Each are held by a ruling clan or family, secured in their sovereignty by the peasants. Laws are upheld and taxes are collected thanks to a series of cooperating families, though allegiances change often.
Each family has a fortified keep and land held in a defensible area, most often near land favorable to farming and livestock. The rest of the kingdom is filled with rugged farmland, plains and rock-strewn hills.
