AC Era
Following the period of time known as the Standstill, the lands began to reform following the Cataclysm that merged the two realms. Once life began to reform as well, groups of people began to form into towns and villages, soon building up walls to surround great cities where the diverse groups would co-exist, some of the oldest ones being Ara and Thal.
New dangers emerged with the newly formed plane, dangers that creatures such as humans had never dealt with before the Cataclysm. Some would recieve aide from the races formerly native to the Altar realm such as Elves, Dwarves, and Halflings; though often times these partnerships would not last, and groups of these individuals would feud. Some enhabitants of cities learned to exist peacefully amongst others, though in certain settlements and remote villages the people would not take kindly to any outsiders, even people of their own kind.
Currently, most cities house a diverse array of people, even predominantly closed-minded cities such as Thal have in recent years begun to accept foreigners. The Southern cities primarily have begun to diversify, though cities in the Northern hemisphere remain quite closed off to outsiders, especially those hailing from the South.
