To the Merchants of Slaves

Henceforth, as decided by the people of Wesdmed Ayend-Yany and it's neighbouring settlements, the sale of captives is hereby illegal. Merchants caught carrying people against their will within the region will be dealt with accordingly. We will not allow you to travel our roads, nor make sale to our people. It is in the interest of all slavers to adhere to these regulations as the people of Mesdmed will not stand for the exploitation of our fellow . After consultation with various militia's in the region, we, the Wesdmed Trade and Craft Association have agreed apon a price we will pay for their aprehention of slave owners, traders and captures. Gone are the days of our turning a blind eye to your dark trade. Each militia has created their own dedicated patrol routes in order to cover as much area as possible. There is no grace period, this law will be in place by the time you will have read this letter. Therefore I suggest you cancel any planned caravans passing through our region.   On another note, all your slaves within our region have been freed and granted their own land, we have sent envoys to various landowners and es around this land, asking them to discontinue their slaving practices, and to consider releasing their slaves from service, these slaves will also be granted their own land. While you may not believe in the efficiency of this programme you forget the most important thing, more people working the land for a landowner or means more money they can make through taxing. We believe we have taken all the measures neccessary to prevent the practicing of slaving, all we have to do is get rid of you.   Written on behalf of the people of Wesdmed
