Great Cataclysm

The event that changed the world forever, The Great Cataclysm signifies all that civilization has overcome. Massive storms swept away cities and flattened forests, as the oceans swelled and swallowed most of the continent, ending the Era of Growth. Lasting close to a century, the storms have prohibited all sentient beings living in Helbaurg from reclaiming their lost lands.
The first wave of storms was called "World Ender", which lasted a year and subsided into a year of rain and misery. The storms would taper off after 80 years, but their threat was still ever-present.
