Scourge

with a lust for blood, unmatched by many creatures, it is hard to imagine such a beast to be reared and trained, but there are those who have managed by the blessing of Tjatjarn, for such a beast is fit only for the mightiest of champions and once bonded, it will be fiercely loyal unto them. But it is a fickle bond, to maintain, the rider must always show strength and never leave an opening for his beast.
The results are however worth it, nothing strikes fear in the heart of mages as that of Scourge, for they are resistant to all magical effects and seem to hunger for the flesh of spellcasters and will chase them with an uncanny ferocity.
But for those rare hunters willing to risk it all, a scourge is a bounty in terms of reagents it can supply the aspiring artificer, alchemist, and mages alike ss their blood can be used for potions, and their skin and claws used to create powerful items.

When you drink this potion you are imbued with the unnatural strength of the scourge blood and the ability to sense magical build ups well before a mage is able to cast their spell, the following effects occur for the next 10 minutes.
• Your strength score increases to 21.
• When a creature within 5 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature. If this attack hits it applies the same effects as a counter spell cast at third level cast with a +5 modifier.
• If a spell is cast within 30 feet of you, you may immediately move 30 feet towards the target who cast it.

A small vial containing the blood of scourge, this thick red liquid pulses faintly when in the presence of magical effects and spell casters, a faint reminder of the awful hate this creature held for the mages of it's homeland. Within the reddish liquid floats, small pieces of its grounded claws.

The rarest reagent on a scourge is that of its head plate, as it can be used for multiple items, such as a Hood of Spell sensing or Spell Absorbent Armor.

Armor (medium, heavy, or shield) Incorporating the head plate into the design of armor or a shield allows the wielder to mimic the scourges spell reflective properties: Requires attunement. Any time the wearer is targeted by a Magic Missile spell, a line spell, or a spell that requires a ranged Attack roll, roll a d6.
On 1-3 nothing happens
On a 4-6 the Effect is reflected back at the caster as though it originated from the wearer, turning the caster into the target.
