In the world here, magic isn't known well and has been kept a secret for many millennia. We're set in a larger city where one part is nothing but raw, beautiful magic users and the other, greater part, of non magic users. Both sides have the same class setting, the wealthy through to the poor, only a few cross over between the two.   The two sides will mix occasionally, non magic users who'll wander into the magic side, those people usually have a curious nature and believe in magic at least a little bit already, and they come into this side of the city. They mostly come to one tavern that seems to catch the eye of anyone who passes, the largest there and the most popular. The Hanged Witch is always filled, no matter the time of the day, music playing and people talking.   There's one man that's known well on both sides, very well regarded despite some dubious things he delves into at times. Christopher Alexander is a politician in both sides of the worlds, but he's much closer with the magic side, holds them in high regards and loves every person there. He himself is filled with raw arcane power, but doesn't use it for bad. But he's not a good man, nor is he a bad man, he's a neutral party in all things that goes on.   He watches over both sides and charms them easily, the non magic users more than anyone else that is. There's rumors on both sides questioning his age, he looks young but old at the same time, faint wrinkles and grey in his hair, a scar over his left eye that makes him look a bit older as well. But no one questions the knowledge he has, not a lot anyways. There's members of the magic community who hate him a little bit, for the fact that he researches more taboo topics, blood magic, necromancy, dark arts, and anything along those lines. But someone has to research these things, is what he constantly says.
