Lexicon, or Lex to his friends, used to be (and in some ways still is) a very powerful wizard, who dedicated his life not to spellcasting, but to knowledge and lore. In order that what he learned might not be lost, he transferred his consciousness to a human skull, trading most of his magical power for a semblance of eternal life.

General Physical Condition

Lex currently inhabits a human skull, enchanted so as to be virtually indestructible. He retains the ability to cast a few spells without material or somatic components, including Mage Hand, Unseen Servant, Comprehend Languages, Identify, Detect Magic/Thoughts, Speak with Dead/Animals, Message, and Light. He uses these spells to gather more knowledge, and to move himself around if necessary.
