Heideran

At the edge of the great encompassing sea lies the Shimmer, an ever shifting prismatic and impassible wall, its builders were the Eight Divines, and within its protective bubble lies the great continent of Heideran. Walking this continent are the 8 ascended races and a myriad of other less elevated folk. Through the passage of time, conquest and discovery, they have formed some of the greatest civilizations ever known.   It would be an incomplete portrayal of Heideran if one failed to mention the great prismatic crystals. These were the remnants of the God's power, left behind as the arcane and divine fallout of their creative efforts. Granting a source for magic and mutation these crystals come in sizes great and small and since unlocking their power have become a resource at the center of conflict and reconciliation.   If one were to be dropped into any town or village in Heideran they would be greeted by common and goodly folk attempting to carve out a life for themselves. If they venture to far beyond the safety of a civilized place all manner of danger could be fall them. It is always best to travel with friends, a good blade or some crystals by your side.
