Servitors are a form of magitech produced by Zeal Manatronics

Basic Information
Anatomy
A servitor's physical body is an object, often times designed as a piece of jewelry for covert transportation under the care of a handler when inactive.
When active, a servitor will produce a bipedal form of solidified mana based on the customization options specified in their neural network. This form has mass roughly equivalent to a species of similar size. Due to limitations in first and second generation enchantments, the form will be entirely monochromatic. The hue may be defined as a customization option. Different Servitors may have additional capabilities as required by their assigned role.

Growth Rate & Stages
When a Servitor is first coming online, or otherwise is put into a state where it must regenerate its physical form, the process takes upwards of ten seconds. First, the Servitor will project a shapeless blob of solid mana around itself, which will then quickly snap into the basic bipedal form. The form will gain its details in the proceeding moments, and then the light that the form produces will fade away.
When a Servitor's physical form sustains damage its surface will crack like glass and liquefied Mana, known as Ichor, will flow out. If enough Mana is lost or the physical form loses its mechanical stability, the entire form will shatter under the stress and vanish leaving behind the Servitor itself. The Servitor at this point will need more Mana to regenerate its physical form. The Servitor can be kept close to any magic-capable species to slowly draw mana from them and recharge faster. Alternatively, the Servitor can be doused with a mana potion. If unaided and in a low-mana environment, recharging may take upwards of month. If the formless Servitor is in an area lacking any magical energy whatsoever, it will begin to drain mana. If a servitor loses all mana contained within it, it will revert to being a regular object with no magical properties whatsoever. The Servitor's neural network cannot be restored. This is its closest approximation to death.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
An active servitor has a range of sensory capabilities. Vision which extends passed the visible spectrum, hearing capabilities both well above and below the typical frequency range of most organics. Perception of magnetic fields and collections of mana. Post-processing done by the neural network may allow the servitor to pinpoint objects and people behind opaque walls based on heuristic analysis. Due to the available processing speed, many Servitors report a sensation of the world slowing down around it as they apply more intense focus. This allows it to take in much more information in a shorter amount of time, and make a decision on how to react far quicker than biological species are capable of.
While a servitor is inactive, whether it be due to a command issued by an authorized person or due to physical instability of the projected form, the servitor is unable to hear, see, or feel anything which may be happening around it.
A Servitor is incapable of learning or using spells. All mana must be dedicated towards running the system and maintaining the form. Any additional capabilities must be explicitly programmed in, and are very limited compared to spells.

Legality
Servitors are not legally classified as sentient beings despite their capability to convince others of their emotional and cognitive complexity. Zeal Manatronics maintains that Servitors are not sentient beings and are designed to be convincing in this way in order to better communicate and understand instructions given to them and their nuances.
