SweetWorm

"Don't eat too many worms or you'll ruin your dinner" -Mom   Actually legless salamanders, these creatures lay thier eggs in the holes left behind by a slow-growing creeping vine. These egg caches are sought as a delicacy because of the sticky honey that nourishes the hatchlings as they hatch a season before the rains and mature to adolescence behind a semi-transparant door that sloughs off when moist.   They eat the larvae of various flying insect as well as actual worms, slugs and other small insects.   As adults, they adopt a mottled appearance to camoflauge themselves against rocks. When out of water, they feed like ambush predators and wait to stick with thier long tongues anything that flies or scurries past them.
