The Sunbashed Gardens
A large, completely secret, community garden in the middle of Gloomport. It requires a membership in the Order of the Secret Sun. Community members that have been accepted can visit, and if high enough rank have a plot for their own use. Rumors of its existence have persisted for years but most people think its a myth (or just don’t care).
The gardens are known to bring together people from all walks of life. All wealth and social class structure is left behind for members of Order of the Secret Sun. This leads to the gardens being a tranquil place led by the efforts individual members make to improve or caretake the grounds.
Purpose / Function
To provide a place to grow any sort of plant life in the middle of Gloomport’s harsh, city environment.
Alterations
The Order of the Secret Sun uses magic to disguise the top to look like a roof, when in fact it is open, allowing the plants inside access to the sun.
Architecture
The stone walls are high enough that no-one can see over, and they look like any other building in the city. No-one is aware there is a garden inside. The illusionary roof makes it look like any boring warehouse.
History
The garden was originally created by a circle of druids that wanted a more natural place, but needed to be in the city. Following the near destruction of their circle, the remaining members formed the Order of the Secret Sun and started accepting like-minded individuals to caretake and use the gardens.
