A hub of trade,

Thoria is a large city in the Kingdom of Monadel. Its busy streets are littered with the bright banners and signs, advertising all sorts of goods. Scarred, burly, men advertise the blades and plate they've discovered among their adventures, sweet, soft, old, women hand out baskets of fresh bread, gleaming with a fresh coat of cow butter, homemade.
Coins of various sizes and shapes and colors are bartered with to buy these very goods, in leather pouches, the jingle of sweet coin rattles among the sounds of the busy streets. Carts of goods pass by, drawn by sturdy horses, hardened from a days journey. People chat among the streets, releasing the days troubles as well as its easygoing pleasures from their weary shoulders.
A mysterious cloaked man sits among the alleyways, his soft expression betraying his watchful eye, as he brings a long wood carved pipe to his lips as a strange staff sits upon his shoulder. A short but sturdy man hammers away on an anvil, the sparks burning away at his skin, as well as he burning away at his blade. A wise old woman advertises her dense apothecary tomes as she brings small stones and strong sented liquids to a beaker, and their reactions cause colorful puffs of smoke, bringing in children excitedly cheering and watching eagerly.
The city is a melting pot of culture and people as well as much much more.

Demographics

All sorts of people live and travel to Thoria to sell their goods. It is known as one of the busiest and most rewarding places to set up shop for merchants, as a result of that, many merchants do end up traveling to Thoria in hope of letting go of some items.

Government

Thoria is run by high ranking merchants and officials sent from the capital of Monadel, Gaeldin. While the merchants run the orginization of the lower merchants, the officials run the legal affairs and keep everyone in check, making absolute sure that crimes are punished to the highest degrees.

Most people in Thoria are merchants, who make a living off of their work, which can entail loot selling, food creation, custom pipe carving, alchemy, blacksmithing, and almost anything you can think of.
