Ha'Tali

Long ago a group of immortal beings began to bicker among themselves. They were gods, in a sense, but in another way they were not because they had no worshipers to believe in them. Eventually one of the gods, Ha'Tali, decided to end the bickering by crafting a place among the cosmos where the not-quite-gods could decide things once and for all. In the end Ha'Tali sacrificed himself to create the world as we know it, and his kin named it after him. They then populated it with all manner of creature as they saw fit. The dragons quickly rose to power over the other races, but an act of the gods wiped out half of their kind, allowing the other races to grow. Now the world is divided into several lands all connected by arcane lines of power, new races and gods have been born, and the nations seem always on the brink of war. As you travel through this land you will encounter many strange and magnificent sights. Ships flying through the air and constructs with souls. Jungles filled with dinosaurs and the lairs of dragons. You may come across an artifact left behind by a mad god or transcend into godhood yourself.
