Wolfsguard

The Wolfsguard are the primary military of Gamall and the Stormseeker Kingdom. They can be found in every settlement, usually patrolling the area or in their outposts. Wolfsguard are recognisable for their Hide and Leather armour and one shoulder pad designed to resemble the head of a wolf. Captains will have two wolf shoulder pads, where Commanders tend to have unique armour plating. All Wolfsguard are supplied with a simple spear and crossbow, but they are allowed to buy and use whatever weapons they wish.

The Wolfsguard were founded very early into the kingdoms creation, named both after the surplus of Wolves in Gamall, as well as after Duemis. There are a huge number of Wolfsguard, as many join their ranks for a steady and usually simple income. Whilst not the best trained or equipped military in Harodra, they are the most numerous and make up for their simple skills with heart and loyalty.

Wolfsguard are also split into many different subfactions. There are Cavalry that ride upon armoured horses, Scouts and Archers, even shock chariots pulled by Great Shankhorns brought in from Kaldr. Stackfort and the Docks of Farhold have their own special Naval Wolfsguard armed with primitive rifles. Captains and Commanders have access to even more weaponry, including the dreaded Hummingbird Grenade, a powerful magical explosive used only in dire circumstances.

When threats arise, Wolfsguard are often first to answer the call for help. They are expected to fight off beasts, criminals and raiders should they attack, but mainly to keep the peace in he Kingdom. The job can be perilous, but many Kingdom Folk are willing to fight for their country and join the ranks.
