The Church of Silence

The Infamous Church of Silence are known killers, kidnappers and murderers that haunt Gamall’s forests and dark alleys. They are terrifying wielders of illegal shadow magics that murder and maim their way the world purely to cause fear and paranoia. At least, that is what they are known as to the Kingdom. The truth is a little different.

Church members are known to wear black and white clothing, their skin pale after undergoing various rituals, masked with metal faces that hide their true identities. Many do know Shadow Magic, but they are not mindless killers and murderers. They are middle men to the gods. Their leader, a being known as The Goat, communes to many different gods and in return they are given a list of names. These names denote people who the gods want taken out for whatever reason. The Church then spreads out to find and kill these people, whilst also taking in any users of Shadow Magic they find.

Their methods of killing are ritualistic and brutal, but they believe it helps guide the soul to a better rebirth further down the line. Still, their creepiness, use of illegal magics and the lack of knowledge about them, especially their whereabouts, makes them an enemy in the Kingdoms books.
