Reborn

A dark fate, becoming a Reborn is to have died physically, but not spritually. Reborns are undead, perhaps sporting pale features and blank eyes. Perhaps they are nothing but skeletal remains wandering the realms. They are feared and tormented, but mostly by themselves. It is a dark fate to be cursed to remain on the world forevermore. The circumstances of a Reborns creation vary wildly. Perhaps it was a resurrection gone wrong, latent necromantic energy, or perhaps their soul simply could not find its way into the afterlife.

Due to the Plague Wars, necromancy is strictly outlawed and undead are killed onsight. This makes it difficult for Reborn who still have their thoughts and personalities but are trapped in dark bodies. Most wrap themselves up to hide their appearance, but it does little to help, so many reborn wander the world aimlessly, ignored by whatever they find.
