Lionfolk Leonin

The Leonin are an isolated species of humanoid Lions found in small prides throughout Free Country, hunting its various creatures. They are proud and noble, but usually see combat as a way of resolving problems. Due to the great status Lions have in the Kingdom, the first Leonin found were treated with great respect and friendliness.

Most Leonin are wild and untamed, surviving off the lands given to them, rarely having homes of their own. However, small numbers of Leonin have traveled to the Kingdom, where they are usually treated with awe and wonder from those who have never seen them. Even here, they still find themselves in positions of combat, such as guards or mercenaries.
