Gith

An alien race, unknown the the vast majority of Harodra. Only the Harodran Council and select others are even aware of the Gith’s existence. It is believed they were once Elves, but exposure to the Astral Realm has warped them into tall, gaunt, yellow skinned creatures with stubbed noses. The Gith are native to the strange Astral Realm, which was formed by insane amounts of magical energy during the Rift Sundering.

Gith possess a natural Psionic ability, latent in all creatures of the Astral Realm. It seems they are immune to the effects of the Elder Brain that resides there, so they have managed to build floating settlements and civilisation amongst the debris. They have formed into two factions, the peaceful Gith’Zerai and the Warmongering Gith’Yanki. - Their battles against the Illithid and the Elder Brain thankfully prevent the Astral Realm turning its gaze elsewhere. Due to the realms difficulty to access, it is extremely rare a Gith will find themselves on the Material Plane.
