Farhold

Population - 21,300 Farhold is the Capital City of Gamall and the seat of power for the Stormseeker Kingdom. It is found along the Western Coast of Northern Harodra, making it a proud port city. The majority of the city itself is built on and around a mountain that has been cut horizontally in half. It is said that this occurred in a battle between Opresim and Drastakash.
The city is split into several sections. Atop the mountain is where the Upper Class and Noble civilians can be found. The buildings are well made, of stone and metals allotted into different housing blocks. These are decorated with vibrant green trees, bushes and parks that provide a fresh air combined with the higher altitudes. The Stormseeker Academy can also be found here, a large schooling area where the richer of Harodran Youth can learn to harness their own spellcasting. Military training grounds are also found on the mountain, watched over by an enormous statue of Odren Stormseeker. Finally, the mountain is home to the prestigious Stormseeker Castle, an enormous fortress home to the Royal family and the Stormseeker Council. The Upper section of the city is accessible via several large staircases and roadways, but is guarded well to make sure no crime is committed.
Set around the mountain is the rest of the cities populace. Several large housing areas are home to many under the Freeguild contract, in simple but well made homes and establishments of stone and wood. Between this can be found Old Town, the original few buildings established here to hold refugees from Wolfstone. The immense Trade District is also found in Farhold, a huge set of markets and shops where you could find all you could need. Prices vary being the capital, but it is a great traveling stop for many merchants, nomads and cityfolk alike.
On the coastline are great rows of docks and shipyards, bringing in trade from all across Harodra. The Naval Estate is also found along here, boasting an impressive navy to combat oceanborn threats. Also along the docks are the Farhold Boardwalks, an impressive, clean and fancy set of locations built by the famed architect Brent Trenswall. They have entertainment, views and are famed for their hotels where many prestigious individuals have stayed since their more recent creation.
Behind a large wall blocking off the outskirts of the city lies the Warehouse estate. Here many items are built and manufactured, usually by people trying to scrape enough money to survive. Most of these warehouses are run by various gangs however, which proves dangerous for those involved. Beyond this is an area known as the Slums. It started as various tents for people who could not pay for the Freeguild Contract, but eventually grew as a huge shanty town in protest of the contract. It has amassed such a large population that the Lawmason cannot justifiably send forces in to take it down without causing huge uproar, so it was instead walled off from the main city. The people within live in poverty without aid from the capital due to technically living in illegal housing, but this in turn damned anybody to be born there in the future.
Finally, a huge hollowed out arena known as the Hall of Glory can be found on the inside of the mountain. Accessible by paid entrance through the upper districts. Here, great gladiatorial, bardic and combative displays are held that many richer Harodrans will travel far and wide to see. The spectacles never disappoint, adventurers often signing up for the combat to earn a hefty sum of coin.
