Emberspear

Population - 3,200 Emberspear is situated on a main path to Gamalls Eastern side, it is a Wolfsguard outpost strategically placed to send out responses to threats anywhere in the Kingdom. It is laid out in two large squares, a smaller within the first, both surrounded by stone walls and towers. The outer square is military and commercial housing and markets typical of a usual town. The inner square however, is an area known as “The Dogs”. For Emberspear is actually a prison, or rather a town built around one.

The Dogs is a fortress of cells and jails, but has a large open area in the center where the criminals have made makeshift stalls and activities in a small shanty town. It is not home to the biggest of criminals, mainly a holding pen for those waiting trial. Those who have been within say it feels more like its own settlement than a prison, but perhaps that aids to the lack of attempted breakouts.
