Dwarves

Long ago, Dwarves were once not mortal. They were crafted of metal and fire, aiding Surhtur in his forges as skilled craftsmen and tireless blacksmiths. But when the gods left the realm, their ties to Surhtur faded, and the only way to save them was to give them flesh and bone. Thus the Dwarves were born.
Dwarves are a short, stocky race of individuals that mainly keep to themselves. Most follow strict codes and rules, usually involving drinking, mining and keeping grudges. They are a race proud of their heritage, though they may come off as grouchy to others. Still, their penchant and connection to the earth and the craft is their greatest asset, able to make anything they put their minds to.
Mountain Dwarves: (Kaldr) Mountain dwarves make up the largest number of Dwarves in Harodra. They populate the Dwarven Capital of Stoneforge, as well as the Town of Claythorpes. They are expert miners and crafters. As Stoneforge is allied to the Stormseeker Kingdom, Mountain Dwarves are found throughout.
Hill Dwarves: (Gamall, Latumk) Less stocky than their mountainous kin, the Hill Dwarves took their new flesh and travelled Harodra to find a life away from the mines and caves. They founded the town of Boombellow, starting to farm and tend to crops and the land rather than what was underneath it.
Duergar: (The Old World) The Rift Sundering tore apart many underground Dwarven settlements, the inhabitants distraught to find their skin was now flesh and their bodies now mortal. Abandoned and forgotten, these first Duergar turned to darkness in the form of Barbanon. They became manic slavers, cannibals and torturers - Recognisable for their dark grey skin and wild features.
