Claythorpes

Population - 3,600 A town located below some cliffs near the Belden Hills, sitting cosied up in a huge crescent shape cliff face. It is a major mining town, its people frequenting into huge cave and tunnel systems to find metals and ores. Buildings fill the area, but also jut out of the cliff and some can even be found inside it. Minecart tracks are rigged all around the town, even in platforms across the roofes of buildings, giving an aesthetic clutter to the settlement. The towns name originates from a heavy layer of clay that marked the cliff face.

The labyrinthine caverns created here wield countless treasures. Ores and Crystals are constantly being uncovered, stone and clay are brought out in bulk. Claythorpes is even a common location for Gamallians to work in in order to earn enough money for their families. There is a large Dwarven population here, due to their natural affinity for mining. It even acts as a trading point between the Stormseeker Kingdom and the Dwarven City of Stoneforge in Kaldr.
