The first manor north of Baseta along the Kald River road, Sir Sorol is the younger brother of Wilia of Margant.
His sister has been Seneschal of the household at Baseta since before he inherited the manor, an arrangement that his father may have approved, but Sir Sorol definitely does not. There is little he can do about it.
As a result, however, he only visits Baseta Keep when absolutely necessary.
His younger brother Sir Navinor (and heir as Sir Sorol is unmarried), renders feudal service. For itself, though small at 1300 acres, the addition of the outlying manor Aquina provides a comfortable if not lavish living for the Margant clan.
Gentes has lost two people to the murder series over the last year.

Aquina

A small hamlet of 490 acres held for Sir Sorol Margant by the village reeve.
Inland from the river, and at the end of its own trail, the village enjoys something almost like autonomy.
The reeve makes sure that any request from Gentes is fulfilled to the letter to keep this so. Thus far, no one has been killed in Aquina.
