The Master of Esoterica Derwen Verdreth is the younger sister of Miginath’s vassal Tarmas Verdreth, Baron of Ternua.
The 44 year old Lyahvi Shek-Pvar’s primary role is to detect and prevent undue magical influence on the royal court.
Trained in the Tengela chantry in Trierzon, she suspects Ernell Mered is also a Shek-Pvar with connections to Melderyn.
It seems his presence in the court is benign, however, so Derwen has taken no action as of yet. She has no idea of Erila Kaphin’s ties to the Wizard’s Ilse.
Motives: Prevent magical manipulation of Kaldor’s government, particularly from Melderyn. If it comes to it, support her brother Tarmas, the baron of Ternua.
