Baron Chimin Indama

Lord of Getha Keep.
A vassal of the king, the 46 year old Chimin holds a fairly isolated northern keep.
He is also the Sheriff of Neph, but he delegates this function to his son Harapa, who holds Bidow keep in this capacity. The Indamas are a comparatively powerful baronial clan, but neither Chimin or his son are astute politicians.
Harapa is married to a niece of the king, Udine Elendsa, the youngest daughter of the deceased Brandis.
As such, she and her young children have a potential claim on the throne, but so distant that no one (except possibly Harapa) gives it much consideration.
Indama is loyal to the king, but is also an ally of Earl Hemisen Curo of Gardiren, especially in his rivalry to Earl Troda Dariune of Kiban.
Chimin has also been hurt by trade wars along the Silver Way, and has made his own power play by garrisoning the Namion Bridge and setting up a toll.
In the coming crisis, Chimin will follow Curo, giving them a solid hold on northern Kaldor.
Motives: Take control of Naniom Bridge. Undercut Earl Dariune. Support Earl Curo as long as his goals are aligned to the Baron’s.
