Notes: Sir Wylan Adern, 31, is the acknowledged elder bastard brother of Lord Hargyn Radavern of Tyve manor. Their father, Lord Heruld Radavern, always tried to treat his sons equally, sponsoring his bastard son as a knight, even registering arms of his own for him, and giving him the chance to study law at Caleme academy, when his intelligence and ambition showed through.
Shortly before passing away in 717 TR, the old lord made Sir Wylan the bailiff of Boultin to safeguard his financial security. Sir Wylan is very ambitious and dearly wants to come into land of his own. The brothers do not exactly love each other, but manage to keep up a working relationship.
Baron Karsin Ubael has a weak spot for Sir Wylan and relies on his superb legal knowledge when a difficult trial is to be held. Karsin fears that he will lose Wylan should an opportunity to gain a fief arise, and considers his options to bind him securely to the Barony.
One option might be to sponsor an apprenticeship for Sir Wylan with the herald's enclave of the Holy Oak in Tashal, to replace his old herald Sir Ulris Kobarney, who passed away over the winter. Wylan's thirst for knowledge might be satisfied with such an arrangement.
