Cyberneticist's Guild

Structure

Originally a mercantile guild that settled Nebe, they were deposed by the The Obzedat and The Church of Solvable Equilibrium.   Now they hang on through a monopoly over cybernetics, the guild forms the backbone of the Zolotoy economy, though the guild has some independence and is allowed to act autonomously for the most part.   The Organization is split between three main groups, Prosthetic, Neuralink and Arms & Platforms, though overlap is very common. The Guild is primarily a collection of Independent companies some outside of cybernetics (mainly spacecraft & robotics), that are administrated by the Guild's Council. Traditionally the larger Companies are run by older families who can trace their lineage back to the settling of Nebe.   The Council is led by the Guild Master, an elected official who is generally the head of one of the larger mercantile families that make up the guild.   The current Guild master is Rana Musa, CEO of Musa & Musa.   There are three main caucuses within the guild currently. Pro-independence, who believe that they are being exploited by the Zolotoy, pro-Zolotoy who believe that life under the Zolotoy is more prosperous and that the relationship with the Zolotoy and church is mutually beneficial, and the secretive Clockmaker's Rebellion, a revolutionary group consisting mainly of members of smaller families and lesser heirs of the large families that believe that revolutionary action is the only way to escape the Zolotoy and Obzedat. The pro-independence and Clockmaker's Rebellion started gaining traction towards the end of the war after the assassination of the previous guild master.

Assets

The Guild's official headquarters is the Cloud Bazaar, a collection of aerostats in the southern miscible vortex, a nitrogen/oxygen rich pocket that comes from volcanic vents bridging the metallic hydrogen layer below.   The Guild has no official navy but large fleets of free-merchants and strong relations with mercenaries and caravan escorts.
