Nan Fang, known by legend as one of the four Shijin and as the Vermilion Bird, is the god of the Southern Sky.

The Vermilion Bird and commonly referred to as Midday Nan Fang, is the god of the Southern Sky, Midday, Fire, and Propriety. Nan Fang’s spiritual power resides within the Temple of the Virtuous Crimson Sky (Zhu Que) in Zundai. Locals pray to him often before events of importance for luck and strength.
