Heray
Heray is a human city located in central Ingordia. It's a very prosperous city and a loyal ally to the King of Inford. It's also less stranger-hostile than other human cities, so traders can come and go and other races can even live in the city. It also wants to stay neutral in most conflicts, and only call to arms when King Lozark commands it. It hasn't closed their borders to Ingord either, even though the two Kingdoms are at war.
Demographics
Even though most citizens are humans, Heray is more culturally and racially diverse than Hearthrage. Traders all over the world come to Heray to trade, so different races and ethnicities are very common, especially beyond the inner wall.
Government
The city is ruled by Lord Edmyr, a former general that conquered Heray together with King Lozark. He was rewarded the city and early retirement from warfare. Now he sits on the king's council and is the hand of the king.
Defences
Heray is surrounded by a small city wall protecting merchants and traders, but then there is another city wall inside of the first wall, protecting the citizens and the keep. The castle is very large and quite famous around Ingordia, for both its size and beauty.
Industry & Trade
They do make some money from the tree industry, but their biggest income is trade and guilds. Heray is definitely among the richest cities in Ingordia.
Guilds and Factions
Merchant and trade guilds are very popular in the city, but also orders of knights since they can easily travel throughout Ingordia if they have their headquarters in the centre.
History
Since it's the centre of Ingordia, traders and merchants flock to Heray, to distribute goods through the rest of Ingordia or to sell them there. It's been relatively neutral in the conflicts since it's relatively well defended and protected by other cities. But it was recently conquered by Lord Edmyr and King Lozark, since Heray was inside of the Inford forest.
Architecture
They have a classic infordian architecture style with some influence of ingordian.
Geography
The city is built around a hill, with the keep on top and the town surrounding it. Outside the city walls are leaf trees, just like the rest of Inford.
