Halor

The world is an endless flat ocean plain. The sun rises from the ocean in the morning, and sinks back into it in the evening. Nobody knows where the sun rises and sets exactly, because it's too hot to approach, and too deep underwater to find.   Underneath the highest point of the Sun's ark is Halor, a series of landmasses with a comparable size to Europe. Due to the small size and closeness of the sun, it has a diverse range if climates and environmental conditions.   The history of Halor is a bloody one. Over 3000 years ago, there was a war known as the last war, or the great war, where Gods, monsters, and people fought each other for the domination of the realms. There were 2 sides to this conflict, the Church of The Divine Hierarchy, and the Sorthern Union.   When the war ended at a peace treaty, the Union disbanded and the Church demilitarised. There has never been a war of the same magnitude since, and the gods have kept their peace with each other.   But now, both gods and people seem to have forgotten the pain caused by the war. Lines have been drawn up, and the Union has reassembled to once more defend their old ways and ancient Gods. Halor is once again at war.
