Talos, The Stormlord

The Stormlord

God of war, storms, and destruction, there are some that argue that Talos could be hard pressed to be considered a benevolent deity at all. He is a god who revels in the wrath of thunder and the chaos of large battles, and is notorious for being utterly self-serving, demanding strict obedience from his priests, clerics, and paladins who bear his blessings.

Creatures of War

Devout followers of Talos, those who follow his instruction, are seldom welcomed. In fact, outside of times of war or anywhere near a battlefield on the verge of spilling into violence, they are sometimes even treated with outright hostility, as their creed instructs them to spread destruction wherever they roam. - Near and surrounding times of war, however, the worship of Talos is deemed socially acceptable and even encouraged.

Rival of Destruction

Early scriptures penned by those skeptical of the war god's intentions and openly questioning his benevolence once likened Talos to the orcish deity Gruumsh, also considered to be a god of destruction. Since those early days however, the two have been in more and more open hostility over centuries.
