Pelor, The Dawnfather
The Dawnfather
God of the sun and summer, Pelor is considered a cornerstone of creation. He supports those in need and opposes all that is evil. As the lord of agriculture and the bountiful harvest, he is the deity most commonly worshiped by ordinary folks, and his priests are well received wherever they go. He directs his followers thus:- Alleviate suffering wherever you find it.
- Bring Pelor’s light into places of darkness, showing kindness, mercy, and compassion.
- Be watchful against evil.
Followers of the Sun
Pelor's priests work closely alongside those of the Melora, The Wildmother around cities and cultural hubs, working to provide the people working the land with the feeling that their animals and crops are looked after. His paladins and followers travel to aid those in need, and a lot of the people following the dogma of Pelor end up members or close associates of the Kind Wayfarers.Fields of Forever Light
In their departure from the material plane, five gods banded together to create a new home. Pelor, and his wife Erathis, The Lawbearer, Marryn, The Everlight, and Oghma, The Learner created a plane of idyllic good, and a grand city for them to share. It was, however, not to last. While the gods do not spur their followers to hostility against one another, it is understood and taught that only Pelor and Marryn remain in the Fields, while the others have ventured on to realms of their own.
