Canine Carriages

"Look, I'm not saying that Halflings can't be threatening but come on... y'all are riding around in these dog-drawn carts for cryin' out loud! Hey, hey, Milo, what's that nickname you guys have for the Canine Carriages? Woof Wagons? I rest my case...."
- Barstow Cockburn, Dwarven Ranger
Thanks to their diminutive size and light weight, Halfling communities rarely have great use for beasts as large as horses (at least not while conducting business locally, or in small scale). Ponies get their fair share of use, but among the small folk, the use of Canine Carriages is not an uncommon sight. These carriages resemble those of the larger folk of Gyrraholm, but much smaller and much lighter, allowing for them to be pulled via at least two large dogs (usually Mastiffs). With these powerful hounds pulling them along, a so-called "Woof Wagon" can travel up to speeds of 12 miles per hour (if the dogs are being pushed particularly hard), and they can handle a surprisingly large load.   The method of transportation may not be useful across large distances, or with massive amounts of cargo on board, but for short trips (especially for a a single halfling) there are few better ways to travel. After all, who doesn't love dogs???

Propulsion

The Canine Carriage (as the name might suggest) is propelled via two (or more) large Mastiffs, a commonly used mount in halfling communities.
