Savgar

Savgar are the bipedal reptilian humanoids who live mostly in Camora. They thrive in the warm sun of the desert. Most resemble reptiles like lizards and geckos. However, a subrace of Savgar are the Angar, which resemble snakes, but they are very rare to find due to low fertility rates.

Savgar have scaly skin and variations of horn are grown from their heads. Most have mutted green to brownish scales, but there are some color morphs, such as bright yellow, dull orange, or even a dark gray.

Genetics and Reproduction

All Savgar start life as eggs. Savgar eggs are kept save within a parent's home, usually kept warm in a hole in the ground or sand away from any danger.

Growth Rate & Stages

Savgar reach maturity within 5-7 years of hatching.
As Savgar age, their bodies start to slow down and their colors start to fade as scales are more likely to fall off. Most Savgar over 65 years old spend their days taking care of the young ones as their parents work or defend the town. Most Savgar live to be around 90, but it is rare to see them age older.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Savgar are omnivores, but favor meat more than anything. Because of this, hunting is a prefered occupation for them in order to feed themselves and their community. Their ability to blend into their desert environment helps them when sneaking around in order to hunt.

Naming Traditions

Most Savgar names are unisex and they do not have surnames. Some common examples are; Yago, Manu, Teo, and Fran.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

As part of hunting and defending their community, Savgar will paint themselves in "warpaint," as they call it. This paint is usually black, green, or red and is painted in different designs to look more intimidating or to blend into their surroundings.
