Azlyð

Azlyð is the name for the planet, the continent, and the spirit. The world itself is alive, sentient, a being with unknown motivations and agency. It is the source of energy for all life and magic, including the current intelligent species, humans. Azlyð also goes through The Cycle, the process of giving and taking magic to the world through The Azlyðine, every three hundred years.

Geography

One large continent forms the majority of the landmass of this smallish planet, effectively making them one and the same - the sides are separated by the Ends, a great ocean that few bother to brave, preferring the known land. Only a few islands mark the space between, but none have been explored by humans, the current inhabitants.
