Magic Stone

The power of the weave given form, these deposits of magic have become a common power source throughout Grimoire and a cornerstone of enchanting items for both everyday use and adventuring. While the creation of these stones is no fully understood, they are used to power trains, airships, ships, warm houses, keeping food cold, and more.
These stones are used in many different enchantments and spells, some basic and minor while others are grand and world changing. While the skill needed to do this is common, the skill to safely remove the stones and their enchamtents is something that may have been lost to time.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

There are serval colors of magic stone, seemingly tied to the different types of magic. Much like iron or gems, the quality of the stone comes from many different factors. The quality of the stone changes how powerful the magic in it is.

Manufacturing process

Many use the whole stones to power things like lights and machines. It appears breaking the stones does not dampen its magic but does limit its usefulness. Enchanters have found that grounding magic stones adding it to dyes and ores allows for a more permanent enchantment to items.
