Lunargos Major, Wei Forest, and the Kurdson Province
Ever since when each of the races were borne onto Grimoire, the struggle to survive was immense. As clans and tribes formed into towns and kingdoms, the focus was on alliances.
Alliances against the Yozora.
While other species found strength together, Yozora remained largely separated from their various races, fueling their hatred with low territory and resources against each other. Due to this, the other races were able to drive them out in all directions, limiting their ability to become a society similar to humans, elves, and so on even more so.
That is except for Lunargos, a group of subcontinental islands in the western hemisphere. Here, without human intervention, the species thrived fruitfully and were able to construct an ecosystem for them to live in together by using each other's talents to their gain. That isn't to say most were not territorial, but to not the length of causing massive strife between two or more communities, due to fear of endangering themselves if they did so.
When humans and other races began to land on the islands looking for resources, they were quick to attack the beasts, but the Yozora were many times stronger. Even then, the other races still came in, stronger with incredible equipment, pushing them back. The Yozora knew they must evolve too.
The Wei Forest was the first to introduce a council, headed by five representitives: the waters, the forest, the air, the hidden, and the earth. They devised on ways to attack, but also on talks with the humans. They recognized that these invaders were much more advanced and while they had a great deal of power over them, they knew the invaders would survive the blood bath with hardly a scratch.
So it was decided to give them a large portion of land off of Lunargos Major, the larger island. What would follow would be the culling of forestry, which also meant the death of many Yozora.
It's said that the Yozora that didn't want to leave their homes were slaughtered by other Yozora to avoid further confrontation, who were in turn handed over to humans as slaves or sacrifice as retribution to the other tribe leaders. And so they lived. People who now lived there didn't want to jeopardize their new lives nor most governing forces who enjoyed their new seats. It would be said that the king who held the land honored the agreement, when his queen passed. In reality, she was cursed and sent to the island, unable to burden her king, who was ashamed for doing what he did in the first place, but had to be done for his people lest he look weak. The queen's children are said to have led one of the tribes for a time..
As years passed, the divide between the two worlds softened. All around Grimoire, peace between the Yozora and mandkind began to take root, though it was still new.
The Kurdson Province, established by General Dairius Kurdson for his negotiation of the territory, was thriving well. The same could be said for the Wei Forest and the other islands, save a few invasions, but new settlements from man began to be established as well with less quarrels and more mutual negotiations. However, many Yozora still resented mankind, as could be said for the reverse.
The islands were no longer special as other places have since succeeded in joining with Yozora, but the mix of love and strife in such a confined location is truly a dangerous place for any adventurer.
Some say that the islands will finally know peace when everyone on it dies.
