Ironwood

This magically enhanced wood is said to be, while not as strong as freshly enchanted pieces made by some druids, is stronger than steel. The trees are found in the forests some druid circles call home and are nearly impossible to cut down with special equipment. Those who do manage to get their hands on this wood often make it into armor, weapons, or special items.

Material Characteristics

The wood itself is a deep red color, similar to that of redwoods but with a slight gloss to the inter bark. If the trunk of an Ironwood tree is stuck, a metallic bell-like sound can be heard.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The tree itself is extremely durable, able to withstand storms and strikes from most beast. Needing to be craved and shaped with specials tools and techuqines, items made from this material are highly sought after as are those who are able to shape it.

Geology & Geography

Found only where the Weave's presence is strongest and portals to the Feywilds are often found, infusing the wood with magic. Duird Circles and fey beings are found in these locations as well.
