Shapona "The Martyr"

In the year 822, Shapona was a cleric dedicated to treating the sick and wounded. Legend tells us at the time that a plague spread through the citizens of Aeris. The plague supposedly came about from a devils influence, and Shapona was willing to give her life making a deal with the devil to end the plague. This self sacrifice earned her divinity in the afterlife and she became the god of Death and Chaos. There is dispute about the events leading to her ascension, and it is the belief of some that Shapona caused the outbreak herself.
