Swamp Elf

Swamp Elves are the individuals of the Elf species that live in swamps. These elves live on the ground in mud huts as opposed to the forest elves' tree-houses.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

At the time of birth the newly born elf is painted with mud and then dipped in the water. This ritual signifies the elf being born from the water.

Funerary and Memorial customs

After death the deceased is placed in a wooden coffin which is then filled with water and sunk into the swamp water.

The swamp elves believe that they originated from the water of the swamps which is why their culture centres around it.
