Curled 'round the Endless Shore

An organization of those dedicated to guarding the Shore. They stand at the boundary where the last ray of sunlight touches the forest floor — you may freely cross, but they will never let you return.
They believe the Shore is endless.
They say a Coastal Snake who faces the Black Gates of Death must choose — to journey down the coastline until they reach a place where no Coastal Snake lives, there to pass on their tradition...or to cross the Shore. No Snake in living memory has chosen to cross.
