The Trace

Structure

The guild is ran by a central team stationed in their lodge near Salisbury. The team is made up of: Virgil Heaveharth as the Games Master Laylee Softhshard the Chronicler, keeper of records "Knox" the armorer and weapons keeper Morgan Gale staff alchemist, tactics and materials developer   This team directs and manages the contracts and activities across Granduul but directs caretakers to oversee the day to day activities of their outposts in the various locations.

Public Agenda

The Trace is known as the provider of hunters to overcome the unique monsters of Granduul. It is also known that 3rd parties may fulfill Trace contracts, but the best hunters are registered members with the Trace.

Assets

Through the monsters they hunt the Trace has aquired access to exotic materials that they use to develop better hunting and trapping, developed by the staff alchemist.  

Tracer Glove

A new development in technology has allowed the Trace to outfit its more prestigious hunters with a specialized glove. This has been intended to serve as the iconic identifier of Trace members to recognize one another. The elbow length leather glove can be rigged to be as bulky or slim as the wearer desires but all gloves have a 2" dia. glass lense on the back of their hand.   Every glove can perform the effects:
  • It can project a bright light for a 20ft radius and dim light for an additional 20ft.
  • Also, by speaking into the wrist of the glove, wearers can send a message as if casting the cantrip message but it can only target other gloves.
  • Also when a creature wearing a glove is reduced to zero hit points a distress call is sent out to other wearers within a 1 miles radius.
  Gloves can be rigged and upgraded with additional glass lenses and components granting additional benefits in monster hunting. Additional upgrades include:
  • The glove may be capable of storing trace data locally before a hunt. When making a history or investigation check related to a creature you are hunting you can choose to roll with advantage by consulting the limited data you have on your glove. You must return to a trace outpost before you can use this ability again.
  • The glove may be capable of casting a single cantrip that you may choose from the Artificer Spell list.
